Tokyo Tower

A visual guide to Japan’s iconic landmark.

1.0 Overview

This infographic poster project focuses on Japan’s Tokyo Tower, an iconic and historically rich landmark. It presents key information about the landmark, combining visuals of the duration of the tower’s construction, a map pinpointing where it is in Japan with simplified information about subway access from nearby stations, and highlighting the two observation decks.

Through this project, I explored how to transform raw research into clear visual storytelling, creating a functional guide that’s both informative and culturally engaging. Designed for a traveling tourist, the final design serves as a quick and informative guide for visitors wanting to explore one of Tokyo’s most iconic landmarks.

Moodboard

Since the poster focuses on a Japanese landmark, I wanted to incorporate design elements that reflect the culture. I drew inspiration from Japanese magazines, which often feature bright colors, playful typography, and dynamic cutout-style layouts.
